Chris Brescia
In 2001 , Chris began as an apprentice at the flagship Frederic Fekkai Salon located in the iconic Chanel building on 57th and Madison. After graduating from years of vigorous training, Chris began working behind the chair at Salons AKS and Pierre Michel before settling in as one of the top stylists at the Warren Tricomi salon on Madison Ave. It did not take long to be recruited for the opening of Vu Hair in the Peninsula Hotel. Next stop was in soho spearheading a new team with Marie Lou & D, as head stylist. All Chris’s Manhattan experiences gave him the knowledge and confidence to chase his dream of ownership. It was now time to build his dream salon in his newly adopted community of Astoria. He is now the proud owner and founder of Crush Studio on Ditmars Blvd. He’s never been happier to be home!!

Deirdre Barrett
Color Specialist
Deirdre Barrett is a native New Yew Yorker, bringing over 8 years of professional experience in the salon industry to Crush Studio. She has studied in Soho at the Arrojo Salon and under Joel Warren at Warren Tricomi on the Upper East Side. Being immersed in the culture, style and innovation of these salons, Deirdre was able to hone in on her craft. Her forte lies in the chemistry of color; customizing shades that compliment her guest’s skin tones. Achieving the desired look of her guest’s while maintaining the integrity of the hair is her passion.
Deirdre draws her inspiration from Pop Culture and her recent travels. Time with Deirdre’s is much like her personal trademark, her nails… always fun, room to explore, precise and never a dull moment!
Angelique Handlin
Hair Stylist
Angelique was born in Bremerhaven, Germany and raised in Long Island, NY. Her vast experience encompasses over 25 years, including being one of the original stylists to open Salon AKS in Midtown Manhattan. Angelique also worked at Frederic Fekkai and joins our featured stylist team having worked with trailblazing women including Better Midler, Marlo Thomas, Martha Stewart, Jessica Seinfeld, and the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter. Her experience also extends to styling hair for make-up artist Bobbi Brown’s book, designers Bill Blass and Ralph Lauren, and shoots for Town & Country Magazine.
Angelique is a rockstar with cuts, styling, updos, and braids. She also blows the crowd away with her coloring and balayage skills.


Gabrielisa Garcia
Hair Stylist
Gabrielisa Garcia, A New York City based hairstylist with over seventeen years of experience. In the hair industry, she is known as Gaby. She earned a BA in Sociology along with working NYC salons including Pierre Michel, Bumble & Bumble and Elizabeth Arden’s The Red Door Salon and Spa. In recent years, she shares her time working editorial, beauty and fashion shoots. Specializing in haircutting and styling is specifically customized to clients needs.
