Our policies
Nobody enjoys reading a policy page.
We keep ours short and we explain the reasoning, because these rules exist for one reason. When a chair sits empty at short notice, a stylist loses that income for the day, and somebody on the waiting list missed a slot they wanted.
If something comes up, call us. We are people, and most things can be worked out on the phone.
Cancellations
We appreciate 24 hour’s notice to cancel or move an appointment, but let us know as soon as you can. That gives us time to offer the slot to someone who is waiting for it.
No shows
A missed appointment with no notice may be subject to a fee of 50 percent of the quoted price. We will always try to reach you before it comes to that.
Running late
Call us as soon as you know. We will hold what we can. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten the service or rebook, because holding your slot longer means the next person waits.
Redos
If you get home and something is not right, tell us as soon as possible. Come back in and we will fix it, no charge and no awkwardness. We would much rather you tell us than live with hair you do not like.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
We will always try to fit in a walk-in, and sometimes we can. Booking ahead is safer, because it holds your stylist and the right amount of time. Book online or call 718-204-2096.
What is parking like?
Street parking is usually available on Ditmars and the side streets around us. If you are taking the train, we are a short walk from the Ditmars Blvd stop on the N and W.
Do you work with curly and textured hair?
Yes, every day. Come in with your hair worn the way you normally wear it so we can see your real curl pattern before we cut.
How much is a haircut?
It depends on your hair and the service. Starting prices are on the pricing page, and your stylist confirms the exact figure at your consultation before any work begins.
