New here?

Start with this

Finding a new salon is a small act of trust. You are handing your hair to someone you have never met, and if it goes wrong you have to live with it for months. We take that seriously. Here is exactly what happens, so nothing about your first visit is a surprise.

How to book

Book online any time, or call the studio at 718-204-2096 and talk to a person. If you are not sure what to book, call. It takes two minutes and we would rather get you into the right appointment than the wrong one.

When you book, tell us a little about your hair. Anything you mention now saves time in the chair later.

The consultation

Every first visit opens with a proper conversation before anything is touched. Your stylist will ask what you like about your hair, what frustrates you, what your mornings look like, and what you want out of today.

Bring a photo of what you love. We will tell you if it is not realistic for your hair. Try not to bring too many photos of what you hate, because you do not want that stuck in your head. Tell us what you need. You do not always have to show us.

Then your stylist tells you what is realistic. If what you want will take two visits to do properly, you will hear that now, not later. That honesty is the whole point of the consultation.

if you are unsure

Start with a haircut and consultation. It is the easiest way to meet your stylist and get a feel for the room.

If you want color, especially a big change or a correction, book a color consultation first. It lets us look at your hair in person, plan the work properly, and book the right amount of time. Color rushed into a slot that is too short is how people end up disappointed.

What the visit
feels like

You walk into a room that is busy but not frantic. Somebody says hello and means it. There is conversation happening around you and you are welcome to join it or not.

Your stylist works, talks you through what they are doing, and checks in as they go. At the end you get a finish, an honest word on how to keep it, and help booking your next visit before you leave.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we get asked in the chair every week, answered straight. If yours is not here, call the studio and ask us.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

We will always try to fit in a walk-in, and sometimes we can. Booking ahead is safer, because it holds your stylist and the right amount of time. Book online or call 718-204-2096.

Street parking is usually available on Ditmars and the side streets around us. If you are taking the train, we are a short walk from the Ditmars Blvd stop on the N and W.

Yes, every day. Come in with your hair worn the way you normally wear it so we can see your real curl pattern before we cut.

It depends on your hair and the service. Starting prices are on the pricing page, and your stylist confirms the exact figure at your consultation before any work begins.
